Anchored Word Publishing is built on trust. We collect as little personal information as we can, we keep it safe, we never sell it, and we tell you the truth about what we do with it.
1. What we collect
We collect information only when you choose to share it with us:
- Newsletter subscribers: your email address, the page you subscribed from, and the date you confirmed.
- Contact and submissions: your name, email address, and anything you choose to include in your message or manuscript.
- Site analytics: standard, anonymized usage data — pages visited, approximate region, device type — so we can understand what is useful and what is not.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
2. How we use it
- To send The Anchored Letter and confirmation emails you have asked for.
- To respond to your message, submission, or contact form.
- To improve the Site and protect it from abuse.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles or target ads.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers that make the Site work — for example, the hosting platform we use to run the website, the database we use to store newsletter subscriptions, and the email service we use to deliver mail to your inbox. These providers are bound by contract to protect your information and use it only on our behalf.
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.
4. How we protect it
We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted connections, access controls, and routine security review — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data with the same care we ask authors to bring to their manuscripts.
5. Your rights
You may unsubscribe from any email at any time using the link at the bottom of the message. You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you by writing to hello@anchoredwordpublishing.com. If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA — write to us and we will honor them.
6. Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep the Site working and to understand aggregate traffic. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.
7. Changes to this policy
When we make material changes to this policy we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify subscribers by email.
